You may never have imagined Morocco as having a ski resort, but it does, at Oukaimeden, which is open from Christmas to Easter. And as it’s only 75km from Villa Dinari you can be on the snowy slopes in the morning and paddling your feet in our pool in the afternoon.

There are plenty of sports to sample in and around Marrakech; horse riding, ballooning, golf, and one of the best ways to see the city or take a ride further into the mountains is by bike. Marrakech is as flat as a pancake and a bike ride is the perfect way to experience the city – and it’s not nearly as hectic as the traffic looks! Argan Xtreme Sports do everything bike-wise from a jolly around Marrakech to serious off-road work in the Atlas Mountains. (There’s a great video on their Home page.) The Marrakech Atlas Étape takes place at the end of April each year in aid of Education for All, with a route that’s higher even than the Tour de France mountain climb and is enticing professional European cyclists to Morocco to test their skills.

If you are feeling adventurous – even just a little bit! – Morocco is the place to be. We still take trips to discover this amazing country, and earlier this year we took a ride to the desert, which was stunning, and organised – of course – by Abdul. 

If you want some thrills and spills with your adventure, Morocco has some amazing rallies that you can either participate in or simply watch, from the 4L, a rally for students using rebuilt old Renaults to the Rallye Maroc Classic, which features international classic and GT cars.  This year we hosted a dinner for competitors in an all-women rally, the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles.

But your sport or adventure doesn’t have to be too energetic, you can go bird watching, fishing, take a camel ride, a balloon flight, a quad ride or a desert excursion, or a round of golf  and we can organise everything for you.
